There are numerous options of wheels and rims to choose from and while appearance may be a factor to consider; the materials, design and right fit are more important. We have come a long way from the first known wheel made of wood. The two main types of wheel materials of today are steel or aluminum alloy. Initially magnesium was used for alloy wheels as a lighter option to steel wheels, hence alloy wheels are also referred to as mags.
Just as tyres, we are not restricted to stock or obtain from a particular brand and have a wide range of wheels and mags from Advanti, DTM Wheel & Tyre, Wildland, BBS and more. The wheels are also available in different finish options such as powder-coated, chrome, chrome-clad, painted, bare polished, PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition), etc.
We also offer wheel and tyre packages and are a one-stop shop that include fitting new wheels, wheel balancing, wheel alignment and tyre rotation. Our fully equipped workshop includes a Corghi Exact 7 Wheel Aligner with 8 sensors for cars and vans. This allows us to determine wheel alignment issues and adjust the wheels back to manufacturer specifications ensuring the vehicle does not ‘pull’ to one side and travels straight and true. Regular wheel alignment improves tyre life, driving stability and the overall vehicle performance. It reduces the wear and tear on tyres, brakes, steering and suspension.
